The correct disinfection time for high-speed Handpieces is 20-30 minutes. If the disinfection time of pliers is too long or even more than 1 hour, it will seriously damage the bearing cage and reduce the life of the dental handpiece.

Step 1: Cleaning the handpiece

1. Use clean water to clean the handpiece; It is forbidden to rinse the rear of the handpiece with water. Too much water in the handpiece will cause damage to the bearing.

2. Use cotton wool soaked with alcohol to clean the handpiece; It is forbidden to use corrosive solutions such as acetone and chloride to clean and wipe the handpiece, otherwise, the surface coating will fall off or the surface will turn black.

Step 2: Fill the phone with oil

1. Use "Handpiece cleaning lubricant" for oil filling: Insert the lubricant nozzle into the second largest hole at the rear of the dental handpiece, and press the oil filling cap for 2-3 seconds until clean oil seeps out from the head of the dental handpiece.

If oil is injected from the largest hole, the handpiece cleaning lubricant will not reach the bearing, and the effect of cleaning and lubricating the bearing will not be achieved, which will seriously affect the life of the handpiece.

Step 3: Cleaning the chuck (once a week)

Remove the bur, and insert the "Dental handpiece cleaning lubricant" nozzle into the bur hole to inject oil. For the chuck cleaning of the cover-type handpiece, the handpiece cover should be pressed while oiling.

Step 4: Packing and disinfection

1. Put the handpiece into a high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization bag and seal it, and use a temperature below 135 ℃ for high-temperature and high-pressure disinfection;

Note: Different handpieces use different air pressure.

Correct maintenance can effectively prolong the service life of the handpiece. Similarly, properly working air pressure can not only ensure the lifespan of the handpiece but also give full play to the best performance of the handpiece.
